About me

I'm just an ordinary 'Joe Sixpack' who can't help relating the sorry vista that is right before my eyes. Due to widespread corruption in politics, banking and construction over decades, Ireland is now an economic basket case. For over a decade now Ireland has been governed by Fianna Fail and friends whose only aim was to enrich themselves and each other. Our hopeless opposition mostly kept their mouths shut because they were getting a nice living out of doing nothing. They thought that they could by bystanders indefinitely and avoid having to take responsibility for allowing the country to be run into the ground. And the 'people'? They were too busy maxing their credit cards to notice that they were being governed by a bunch of greedy assholes. Now, that the 'piper' is looking for his money, it's someone else's responsibility to pay. Now, that the 'someone else's' have fucked off, Joe Sixpack has to put his hand in his pocket to pay for his own party and he can't understand how the party finished so quickly. The worst part of the whole saga is that the elite - our government and friends - who fooled poor Joe into a false sense of security are set up for life while Joe ends up paying for their opulent lifestyle. Joe should have thrown away the sports page of the newspaper and read the rest instead of the other way round. As usual in Ireland, Joe will whinge and moan to the other Joes but, will never stand up against the establishment. AND, the best part of the 'game' is, that the 'establishment' know it.
